There's a whole section dedicated to member discussion, so if there's something you'd like the association to this is another way for you to let us know.

Virtual masterclasses to start 4th June!

At last month's Practitioner Forum, we announced the beginning of an exciting new service offering for members - virtual master class sessions.

Each master class is an opportunity to connect with others in the Lean Six Sigma industry to share best practice and key learnings on a variety of topics relevant to business improvement today.  We are pleased to announce that the first master class has been scheduled for friday 4th June - and we will be holding them on the first friday of every month going forwards, so you'll always know when to expect a class if you are keen to join one.

The details for the very first session are:

Topic:                       Identifying waste within a process - an interactive introduction to the concept of waste

                                  within business processes.

Presenter:              Angela Hays, a Black Belt with Luxottica

Date:                        Friday 4th June

Time:                       11am - 12noon

Target audience:  Yellow Belts and Green Belts, although Black Belts and Master Black Belts are more than

welcome to join and share their experiences with the group.

Cost:                      $10 per person

If you are interesting in participating in the masterclass, please register as soon as possible.  Registrations are limited as the master class is highly interactive and we want those who attend to get maximum value out of the experience - it's not going to be just listening to a presentation!  Once you have registered, you can make the $10 payment through the "Forum Payment" link, under the Quick Links heading on the right hand side of this page.  You will then receive an email containing the link to join the master class and the telephone details to dial in.

We would love to hear any ideas you have for future masterclass topics - and are looking for presenters if you are keen.  You can also provide this sort of feedback through the registration link, even if you aren't able to come along this time.  Once we get some initial feedback on topics and presenters, we will post a list on the website so that you can register your interest.

Remember - spots are limited, so  register today!

Success at Deployment Forum

Another successful AASSP Deployment Forumwhole_room and AGM was hosted at Boral’s NSW Head Office on Friday 4 September 2009 with over 20 representatives from AASSP’s member companies attending. We welcomed ING as a new member company of AASSP. Case studies were presented at the Forum by Boral, demonstrating how they have improved business performance through data-based decision making and IAG shared their program of harnessing and harvesting ideas for continuous improvement. Keep an eye on this website for photos and copies of the presentations shared on the day. The next deployment forums are scheduled for Thursday 3 December at the Optus offices in Sydney and tentatively for February 2010 at the National Australia Bank offices in Melbourne, more details to be announced shortly.
